King Estate Donates 18 Tons of Apples and Pears to FOOD For Lane County

Food for Lane County got a major donation on from a local winery recently.

King Estate donated 18 tons of apples and pears to the food bank.

Winery CEO Ed King says it's important that people in need have access to fresh produce.

"We have a real need to take care of the people in our community that need help whether they're unable to take care of themselves whether they're children, whether they're older people, disabled," King said. "This is one brick in the wall of taking care of our neighbors."

This is something King Estate has been doing for nearly 30 years.
