Salt and Straw Announces Eugene, Oregon Location

Salt and Straw’s Eugene shop, which should open next spring at the Oakway Center mall, will be to company’s first Oregon outpost outside the Portland metro area. Beaverton, which is expected to follow next summer at Cedar Hills Crossing, will be the company’s second suburban Portland location after Lake Oswego, which opened in 2018.

Salt and Straw has been using Singing Dog Vanilla since its humble beginnings and now also uses Red Ape Cinnamon - both Eugene, Oregon based companies known for their superior vanilla and cinnamon products.

From the Oregon Live article: “[Kim Malek] recalls reaching out to Eugene vanilla producer Singing Dog at the time to put her fledgling company on a line of credit. Salt & Straw’s Double Fold Vanilla flavor still uses Singing Dog. The company also works with Red Ape cinnamon, another Eugene company.”
