Farmers Union Coffee Roasters is excited to announce the opening of their second cafe location inside the iconic Friendly St Market in South Eugene. Farmers Union has operated their roasting program and flagship cafe out of the historic Farmers Union Market Place at 5th & Olive since 2018.

Farmers Union Coffee Roasters features coffees from select producers and co-ops around the world roasted to the very peak of sweetness. With a minimum purchase price of Fair Trade & Organic, all coffees are sourced from the top 1% of coffee producers around the world.

“We couldn’t be more excited to open this place,” says co-owner, Mark Sheppard. “What a great neighborhood to be a part of. There have been so many great businesses to operate out of this space over the years, and we are excited to be a part of that legacy. Our roastery and flagship cafe will always be our homebase, but we are pumped to join the Friendly neighborhood.”

A colorful, kid friendly, 150 square foot mural by local muralist Bayne Gardner highlights the space and is accompanied by a custom, hand planed wooden bar, designed and built by local designer and educator Tom Bonamici.

Alongside their award winning coffees, Farmers Union serves up fresh daily, made from scratch breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, muffins, cookies, and other select light pastry. Vegan and gluten free options are available.

The new cafe opened on Tuesday, May 25th, and a grand opening is in the works.
